As a not for profit organisation we are able to keep the cost of our childcare lower than private nurseries.
Tax-Free Childcare Tax-Free Childcare is a UK wide offer. Eligible working parents with children 11 or under can get up to £2,000 per child, per year, towards their childcare costs (or up to £4,000 for disabled children 16 or under). You will only be able to receive Tax-Free Childcare payments from your customers if you’ve signed up to Tax-Free Childcare.
2 year old funding Some 2-year-old children may also be entitled to 15 hours of free childcare if your family receives some additional forms of government support.
September 2024 onwards Working parents can now also apply for 15 hours of free childcare for 2 year olds.
To receive either of these types of funding you will need to apply on the childcare choices website: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, if your child is eligible you will be given a code to use when booking.
Universal childcare funding All children aged 3 to 5 years can attend childcare free of charge for up to 15 hours a week.
Working families of children aged 3 to 5 years can also access an extended 15 hours entitlement of funding, which then offers the opportunity for a child to attend for up to 30 hours each week.
If you are working you can apply for the extended 15 hours of funding along with other types of support to help pay for childcare at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, if eligible you will then be given a code to pass to the childcare provider.
When funding isn't available the following hourly rates apply to all booked hours; £5.12 for 3-5yr olds £7.00 for 2yr olds
At St Joseph's Pre-School Unit there are no additional charges for snacks, and drinks are provided throughout the day. There is a charge for any School Lunches booked £2.81 per day, otherwise children bring a packed lunch.
