Daily Routines
Routines are important when new children join us, they are soon able to predict what 'comes next' in the day helping them to feel secure.
Throughout the day there are snack times, outdoor activity play, story times, songs, lunch, circle times and small group times for more structured learning.

Lunches
Children can be provided with a School lunch prepared on the School premises, or can otherwise bring a packed lunch.

Outdoor Learning
The children spend time outside each day having lots of fun!
Throughout the week children spend time on the School playground, exploring the grassy forest School woodland area and we sometimes visit the local park which is just a few minutes walk from the Pre-School.

Structured Learning
Once children are developmentally ready they are offered daily opportunity to participate in structured small group activities.  These are carefully planned to support the children to develop the skills needed to be ready for School.
Weekly Routines
Each week there is also the opportunity for children to enjoy some activities which are provided by other visiting professionals, these include Yoga and a Rhythm Time music and movement session.
Children are also offered a weekly cooking activity and a visit to the Residential home for fun and games.
Special Events
There are many other special events throughout the year, these are held both inside the Pre-School and out.
Occasionally we have visitors in the Pre-School, these include educational visits from Shaldon Zoo, a dentist or the Police.
Families are offered the opportunity to join us when we hold our termly outings and for our Sports day and Graduation.
The children also present Christmas songs to parents, and there is a Christmas Party.
Each term these events are planned and and the details are provided in advance.
