Daily Routines
​Routines are important when new children join us, they are soon able to predict what 'comes next' in the day helping them to feel secure. Throughout the day there are snack times, outdoor activity play, story times, songs, lunch, circle times and small group times for more structured learning.

Cooked lunches


Children can be provided with a hot School lunch, or bring a packed lunch.
Lunches are eaten in the School Hall which helps to prepares the children for School.

Daily Outdoor Fun

Each day the children spend time outside having lots of fun.
Throughout the week this time is spent on the playground, on the grassy woodland area or some days we visit the local park which is just a few minuites walk from the Pre-School Unit.

Small Group Work

Each day the children are offered the opportunity to particiapte in small group activities.  These are carefully planned to support the children to develop the skills needed to be ready for School.  
Weekly Routines
These routines include some planned events which happen each week, these include Yoga, forest fun, walks in the local area, achievements awards and our weekly visit to the residential home. 
Special Events
There are many special events throughout the year, these are held both inside the Pre-School and out.
Occasionally we have visitors in the Pre-School, these include educational visits from Shaldon Zoo, Dentists and the Police.  
Families are offered the opportunity to join us when we hold our termly outings and for our Sports day and Graduation.
The children also present Christmas songs to parents, and there is a Christmas Party.
Each term these events are planned and and the details are provided in advance.
